Akron Hardware is proud to announce the acquisition of Hardware Suppliers of America (HSI) located in Greenville, NC.  As of September of 2011, HSI became a wholly owned subsidiary of Akron Hardware, and continues to operate under the HSI brand with its Sales Center based in North Carolina. 

As a result of this acquisition, beginning February 1, 2012, Akron Hardware will add the commercial product lines from Ingersoll Rand to our product offering. This includes Schlage, Von Duprin, LCN, Falcon, Ives, and Glynn Johnson.  Akron Hardware will also add the Pemko product line from ASSA ABLOY.  In addition to our four strategically located distribution centers in Ohio, Arizona, Tennessee and Pennsylvania, we have added a Texas location to better serve your needs.  

HSI is a full service supplier of Ingersoll Rand products, as well as commercial door hardware from Hager, Norton, Rixson, HES, Securitron, Adams Rite, Kaba Access and residential hardware from Kwikset, Baldwin, Schlage Residential, Dexter and Ilco.  HSI offers same-day shipping from Ohio, Arizona, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Texas, along with product expertise, a comprehensive inventory, and all orders shipped via FedEx. 

With this acquisition, Akron Hardware customers will have the added benefit of purchasing hardware from HSI through your current Akron Hardware account. No additional paperwork or authorization is needed to start placing orders with HSI.  By combining the services and products of our companies, customers will realize increased product availability, faster service and the industry’s most complete product offering.
