NEW FACILITY FOR PA DISTRIBUTION CENTER

In December of 2006, Akron Hardware started shipping customer’s orders from our fourth distribution center located just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After months of research, it was determined that this area would accomplish our objectives for faster speed to market, and better national coverage. Some of the key markets serviced from this branch include Washington D.C., Baltimore, New York City, all of New Jersey, Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania.

On September 1, 2009, Akron Hardware reinforced our commitment to these key markets by moving in to a new facility in Phoenixville, PA, just 30 miles from our old location. This new facility, designed for Akron Hardware, will help us to serve the Eastern US more efficiently for many years to come. All of our Distribution Centers are linked to our Akron, OH headquarters through the latest technology. We can save you time in transit, and costly Next Day shipping charges because our facilities are within two days via UPS Ground Service of virtually the entire country, and within one day of well over a third of our customers.
